Saat pertama kali saya mulai blogging, sering sekali saya menemukan tulisan-tulisan seperti Google PageRank dan Alexa Rank. Sebenarnya apa sih yang dimaksud dengan itu? Menurut Prof. DR. Irfan Syahdana, A.Md, (kekek…..:-D), Google PageRank adalah suatu penghargaan dari om Google kepada situs web atau blog dengan memberi peringkat kepada situs web atau blog. Peringkat ini di mulai dengan peringkat 0 (nol) sampai peringkat 10 (sepuluh), kalo blog saya sekarang dihargai dengan peringkat 3 (tiga) ^_^. Sedangkan Alexa Rank adalah peringkat yang diberikan oleh tante (maaf) miss Alexa kepada situs web atau blog, mulai dari peringkat jutaan (pertama membuat blog saya dikasih peringkat 24 juta, sampai tulisan ini saya buat sih sudah berada di peringkat 1 juta-an) sampai peringkat 1. Bagaimana cara menaikkan peringkatnya om dan miss ini ya? Terusin deh bacanya….

Cara yang bisa dilakukan untuk menaikkan peringkat om Google:
1. Menentukan keyword yang tepat dalam artikel-artikel yang kita tulis supaya terindeks pada halaman pertama mesin pencari google, ini artinya semakin banyak halaman kita terbuka. Tentunya juga harus banyak-banyak posting artikel donk, yang berkualitas, tidak hanya copas (nyindir diri sendiri…:-p);
2. Bisa dilakukan dengan saling bertukar link dengan blogger-blogger lain, berkunjung ke web atau blog mereka, kasih komentar, intinya menjalin hubungan baik dengan mereka. Ini juga dilakukan untuk membuka jaringan-jaringan baru dengan web atau blog yang belum kita ketahui keberadaan dan rimbanya (wuih….);
3. Mencari backlink, bagi saya ini salah satu cara paling efektif menaikkan Google PR. Bisa dilakukan dengan berkomentar pada tulisan-tulisan orang lain, kalau bisa yang memiliki Google PR yang tinggi. Saya sendiri masih belum percaya blog saya dihadiahi PR 3, tapi saya yakin ini berkat backlink, tidak perlu banyak, yang penting kualitasnya.
4. Periksa link-link yang menempel di situs kita jangan sampai ada yang rusak, kalau ada yang rusak segera diperbaiki atau hapus sekalian.
5. Jangan coba-coba untuk menipu om yang satu ini, be a good boy and girl.

Lalu bagaimana dengan cara menaikkan peringkat di rumahnya miss Alexa? Intinya paling tidak kita memposting tulisan kita satu hari satu postingan, jangan Cuma copas ya, sekali-sekali buat tulisan hasil karya kita sendiri, lebih punya taste (sok English… )

Sebenarnya seberapa penting sih peringkatnya om Google dan tante miss Alexa ini di dalam dunia persilatan perinternetan?(apaan sih coret-coret terus ;’0 ). Masih menurut Menurut Prof. DR. Irfan Syahdana, A.Md, (maaf kalau ada yang mau muntah…..:-D), bisa dikatakan penting dan tidak penting. Mengapa bisa begitu ya? Yupz…tergantung dari sisi sebelah mana kita memandang, seperti sebuah koin yang memiliki dua mata sisi (untung bukan dadu, he…). Peringkat menjadi penting pada saat kita bicara soal peluang, yupz, peluang bisnis, lalu bisa juga menjadi sebuah prestise bagi sang pemilik web atau blog. Bagi saya sendiri peringkat ini merupakan kepuasan tersendiri, yang dapat menjadi penyemangat, untuk terus berkreasi dengan tulisan-tulisan yang saya buat sendiri (walaupun sering juga copas ). Dan peringkat akan menjadi tidak berarti apa-apa pada saat kita berkreasi untuk mengejar peringkat itu sendiri
